JOURNAL OF EMERGING ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES

Journal of Emerging Engineering Technologies (JEET) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity throughout the submission, peer-review, and publication processes.

All authors, editors, reviewers, and other participants in the publication process are expected to act responsibly, honestly, transparently, and professionally.

Core Principles

JEET promotes originality, academic integrity, transparency, confidentiality, fairness, editorial independence, responsible authorship, and respect for intellectual property.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, accurate, and based on appropriately conducted research.

  • Authors must submit original work and properly acknowledge all sources used in the manuscript.
  • Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one journal.
  • All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be appropriately recognized as authors or contributors according to their contribution.
  • Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and sources of financial or other support.
  • Authors must report research findings accurately and must not fabricate, falsify, or manipulate research data or results.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate permissions for copyrighted third-party materials where required.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for managing submitted manuscripts fairly, objectively, and confidentially.

  • Editorial decisions should be based on academic merit, originality, relevance, methodological quality, and contribution to the field.
  • Editors should not discriminate against authors based on personal, institutional, geographic, or other irrelevant characteristics.
  • Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and related editorial information.
  • Editors must identify and appropriately manage potential conflicts of interest.
  • Editors must maintain editorial independence and should not allow commercial, financial, or sponsorship interests to influence editorial decisions.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, and confidentially.

  • Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts based on their academic quality, originality, methodology, relevance, results, discussion, references, and overall contribution.
  • Reviewers should provide constructive and professional comments that can assist authors in improving their manuscripts.
  • Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and review materials.
  • Reviewers should disclose potential conflicts of interest and decline a review when they cannot provide an objective assessment.
  • Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained during peer review for personal or professional advantage.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

JEET does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, manipulation of research results, duplicate publication, redundant publication, citation manipulation, or other forms of academic and publication misconduct.

Submitted manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism or text similarity. When potential misconduct is identified, the editorial team may conduct an appropriate assessment and request clarification or supporting information from the authors.

Where serious concerns are identified, JEET may take appropriate editorial action, including rejection of a manuscript or other measures concerning a published article when necessary.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers should disclose any financial, professional, personal, or other relationships that could reasonably influence or be perceived to influence the research, review, or editorial decision-making process.

Editors and reviewers with a relevant conflict of interest should withdraw from the evaluation of the manuscript when appropriate.

Ethical Oversight

Research involving human participants, personal data, animals, or other subjects requiring ethical oversight should comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.

Where applicable, authors should provide information regarding ethical approval, informed consent, or other relevant ethical considerations as required by the nature of the research.

Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Issues

JEET recognizes the importance of maintaining an accurate and reliable scholarly record.

When a significant error or problem is identified after publication, the journal may publish an appropriate correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue.

Authors are encouraged to notify the editorial team if they discover a significant error in their published work.

Complaints and Appeals

Authors may contact the JEET editorial team regarding concerns, complaints, or appeals related to the editorial and publication process.

Complaints and appeals will be considered fairly and objectively. The editorial team may review relevant documentation and seek additional information when necessary before reaching a decision.

Confidentiality and Academic Integrity

All participants in the JEET publication process are expected to protect confidential information and uphold the principles of academic integrity throughout the submission, review, editorial, and publication processes.

JEET may periodically review and update its publication ethics policies to ensure that its editorial and publication practices continue to support responsible and transparent scholarly communication.
